Do you miss pisang goreng?

We're pretty sure pisang goreng is one of the majority's favourite dessert especially during your childhood. It's quite hard to find pisang goreng around in Melbourne so here, we're going to provide you a simple recipe on dessert #101.

Ingredients

1/2 cup self-raising flour
1/4 cup corn flour
1 tbsp rice flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
180ml water
1½ tbsp oil
5-6 bananas, halved
Oil for deep-frying

Method:
  1. Combine the various flours, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Pour in water and combine into a batter. Add in oil to mix.
  2. Coat banana halves in batter and deep-fry in hot oil for three to four minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.

We may update in our blog again later on if we manage to find a restaurant or any dessert shop that has pisang goreng on the menu. Until then, have a go with it guys =)
